Our Miniature Donkey Leftie is a very busy donkey. Between his celebrity appearances, donkey shows, nursing home visits his schedule is usually pretty hectic. It's a full time job just keeping up with his activities. Everybody wants to be seen with Leftie, even the famous Lizardman. Leftie was doing some promotions at the South Carolina State Fair when who shows up but the Lizardman. In case you are not familiar with the Lizardman he is right up there with the Lochness Monster and Bigfoot. The Lizardman was first sighted during the early 1970's in the Savananah River Basin of South Carolina. With searing red eyes, scaly greenish skin and three elongated digits on his hands and feet the Lizardman is truly an intimidating sight. Sightings of the Lizardman have been rare until just a few months ago when the Lizardman was seen playing the SC Lottery. He eventually won the lottery and now he promotes the game. It was during a lottery promotion at the SC State Fair that the Lizardman took time to stop and speak to Leftie, a celebrity of equal stature, however, Leftie is not scary or scaly like Lizardman.

Leftie is quite the athlete now that he is getting close to three years old, the age when equines reach a level of maturity in which they are getting strong and agile. Leftie was in Conyers, Georgia showing his form in flight.

Leftie already has a reputation for having talent but he continues to amaze us with his limitless range of talent. He was invited to a Antique Tractor Show where he met up with the Blue Ridge Mountain Cloggers and the Carolina Blue Grass Band. Of course Leftie had to get up on stage and do a little harmonizing with the band. They asked him to join them on the road but as usual Leftie's schedule doesn't give him much time for pickin'. He did however make time for the Blue Ridge Mountain Cloggers. He was recently named their Mascot and was invited to their 2006 Mountain Music Dance Recital. He received the award for Most Memorable Moment of their year! Leftie is humbled by the honor to be their mascot, an honor he will take very seriously.

Well Leftie has
taken on another adventure. He has gone down the trail with my good friends
Bob and Kay Lawson. I sent Leftie so spend the summer with Bob and Kay and
Kay's mother fell in love with Leftie. Well, how can you argue with a senior
citizen, Leftie had to stay at Kicking Dog Farm. Kay will be showing Leftie
in all events. I know he will try his hardest to make Kay famous!!! Don't
they look like they belong together? Much love to both Kay and Leftie |
